Help protect our lakes and rivers while creating a beautiful and pollinator-friendly habitat in your yard! This free workshop on Saturday, April 16, from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. at Linden Hills Park, will explore raingardens and other simple changes you can make on your property to reduce stormwater runoff and help protect water quality. Following a brief presentation you will have an opportunity to talk with certified Master Water Stewards about your particular property, as well as resources for hire if you need some extra help. You’ll also receive information about cost share programs and how you can apply to the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District for grants to help pay for raingardens and other improvements to your yard.
Master Water Stewards are needed to answer questions and consult with participants about options for improving storm water management on their properties.
